Designer Makers Furniture

Designer Makers was originally opened by Chris Tribe and David Wilson of WoodB in 2009 as a Gallery of Contemporary furniture, offering a selection of contemporary furniture pieces designed and made by some of the best furniture makers in Yorkshire.

In 2010 Chris Tribe and WoodB, who have between them over 25 year of experience in fine and bespoke furniture making, took the decision to join forces together and offer people in Yorkshire the benefit of their combined skills as furniture makers.

Designer Makers aims to enable you to acquire the perfect piece of furniture through its Collection, its bespoke furniture service, its comprehensive bespoke kitchen and fitted furniture design and making facility.

Designer Makers also aims to share its skills and experience through an extensive range of short courses to suit most abilities from the beginner to the aspiring professional.

Designer Makers is committed to further foster quality in design and furniture making through the strong links it has built over the years through its Gallery of Contemporary Furniture Blubberhouses which welcomes all and is ideally situated between Harrogate, Leeds and Ilkley, in the Washburn Valley in North Yorkshire. The gallery showcases the work of its own workshop as well as the work of permanent exhibitors Philip Dobbins and Gabler Furniture and other carefully selected designer makers in the North.
